Dear diary,
Happy Jeff Fisher Day! (I'll just let that sit there...)
There were three Premier League matches this morning.
Everton 1 - 1 Southampton
Bournemouth, Tottenham nil, nil draw!!😆
Aston Villa 0 - 3 Manchester United
I missed them all as I spent the morning listening to the broadcast of the Workday Charity Open to keep up with the PGA golfers. Collin Morikawa leads the field at 7 under par, with Canadian Adam Hadwin hot on his heels, one back, 6 under. The problem with the national broadcast is they don't mention golfers like Joel Dahmen, who was 7 over par at the end of Round 1. Joel Dahmen, the guy prominently on my fantasy roster, at 7 OVER par. *Sigh*
There was MLS soccer in Florida today again. Dallas, which had double digit positive covid tests earlier this week, bowing out of tourney, had their game cancelled, but early this morning Philadelphia defeated NYCFC,1 - 0. This evening, New England took down Montreal, also 1 - 0.
NASCAR Xfinity Series raced in Kentucky tonight, with Austin Cindric emerging victorious. Herbst, Chastain, Briscoe and Annett rounded out the top five.
And that is the day in sports.
