Chas Skelly was slated to fight Jamall Emmers in the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night #UFCVegas19. After Skelly made the walk to the octagon, the commentators reported Jamall Emmers had back spasms and it would be unlikely that he'd fight. Soon, it was confirmed and the fight was scrapped. The disappointment was visible on Chas Skelly's face, "I WANT MY WIN BONUS!" While he didn't fight, Michael Bisping interviewed him anyway. Chas was mature and gracious. Bisping was professional.
Eighteen minutes later, I checked ESPN to see how they would record the score. It wasn't there. That's odd, I thought, and typed UFC into my Google search bar. The list of preliminary fights did not include Chas Shelly vs Jamall Emmers. I checked Twitter. They had taken down the promotional tweet for the fight pictured with this column's title. The UFC would have you and I believe this fight was never on the card.
I can deal with the government pulling the wool over my eyes regarding extra-terrestrial life, the JFK assassination and covid-19. I can accept the church crafting catchy cartoon services, diluting the gospel and overcharging for content, or preaching that works and financial giving will save me, while squandering those donations on clerical costs and building overhead. But, I will not be had by this sorcery, UFC. You will not deceive me with your legerdemain and deception. That fight was on the card and I know it. My conscience is clear, UFC. Is yours? This is bakesHere.
